PRESIDENT
IRFAN MERCHANT
Irfan, has over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, and 18 years of virtual studio experience.  He began his career in India “Bollywood”, where he was an actor, producer, director and director of photography. In the early 1990’s, Irfan was a news cameraman for BBC and CNN.  He also produced the first virtual production in India. After working many years in India and several other locations around the world, he came to Los Angeles in the late 1990s. He worked as a producer, director of photography, technical director, lighting director and visual effects supervisor.

In 2008, he founded International Broadcast Consultants Inc., a broadcast systems integration company here in California. IBC was responsible for several projects included designing and building a 64 channel direct to home satellite facility in Abuja, Nigeria. It consisted of six production control rooms and a satellite farm. IBC also designed and built two state of the art high definition mobile production trucks that were custom designed for the FIFA’s, World Cup Soccer Tournament in 2009.  Irfan also founded Mobile Motion, a virtual production company, which has done work for several clients, including Disney and Fox TV.  In 2011, Irfan founded Vitruvian Entertainment Group, a production company, offering the latest in 3D, Virtual Studio and traditional production.

KALYNN JENKINS

Kalynn Jenkins, an entertainment industry maverick and producer who has  enjoyed success in creating multi-media content that spans several traditional and  new media platforms.  Kalynn is an expert in producing independent  and mainstream content as she has been working for over a decade in every media genera.  Kalynn produced her first feature film, Family Reunion, in Washington D.C. in 2001 while attending Howard University’s School of Business.  After graduating college, Kalynn partnered with Gloria Nauden, former executive director of DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, creating Radar Entertainment Marketing Group a company designed to develop multi-tiered media marketing campaigns, incorporating digital and social media into webseries, online magazines, podcast and virtual characters.

In 2003 Kalynn relocated to Los Angeles as a freelancer, working with many of the major production companies.   To date, Kalynn has more than 200 commercials and music videos under her belt for clients including, Apple, Coke, GAP, Sony Music Entertainment, EMI and Universal Music Group.  In 2009, Kalynn field produced Chris Rock’s theatrically released Good Hair, which won the 2009 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival.  She went on to Producer a reality television series at OWN and is currently working on two socially conscientious documentaries still in development.

Currently, Kalynn is focused on managing VITRUVIAN ENTERTAINMENT, setting and maintaining operational goals long and short term, and creating media that motivates positive social change.  Dedicated to excellence in creating inspiring and conscious television and features Kalynn is the perfect synergic match here at VITRUVIAN ENTERTAINMENT.

 

ENGINEER
DWIGHT STURTEVANT
Dwight Sturtevant started in the television business in the late 1970s and has over 30 years experience in the broadcast industry.  He began his career at PBS, in Western Massachusetts. He owned and operated his own production business for 12 years, and then worked for some of the leading satellite uplink and downlink  companies  satellite providers in the country.  While working in New York, in 2000. he designed one of the first production truck/uplink combinations in the country. 

In 2002, he became chief engineer for a mobile television truck firm and worked on all forms of production trucks;  analog, digital and HD.  He also supported the studio division for the same company. Upon moving to California, he started working in the remote business, and then worked in the entertainment industry for a major network.  In 2008, Dwight became an assistant engineer and studio engineer for a national cable network. Two years later, he was the chief engineer overseeing the project to relocate and move this national cable network. Since the completion of this project, he has supported many shows and studios domestically and internationally in a support and design role.
